Fun Plates for vehicles

Over the years, partly as a result of my own "Fun Plate" on my Firebird I have had a number of requests from individuals who wanted one for their vehicle. Alberta and Saskatchewan both require a government plate on the rear of the vehicle thus leaving the front for a plate that says what you want to say.

The plate 'Sign'tist has filled the front plate holder on my Firebird for many years!

Northern Flicker

This beautiful fellow arrived one winter morning for a snack. The seed bells are way too popular with a group of sparrows who call my carport home. They will go through a whole bell in 3 to 4 days.

I think I have the fattest sparrows around by now. Maybe they'll get too "fluffy" to get off the ground and they'll

just remain !

More Chinese Calligraphy

As an artist I have always been in the habit of buying brushes that are different than the ones I already have on hand whenever I happen upon some on sale. Can't resist a good price you know! That is how I happened to purchase a Chinese Calligraphy brush some twenty five years ago.

A friend of mine who has a habit of coming up with some pretty strange ideas decided he wanted to have some Chinese Calligraphy done so he could put them on large ceramic floor tiles for a landscaping project he was doing. Of course, he asked me if I would take the commission to do a set of them for me.

Not sure if it was the friendship or the challenge but I decided that I might as well take on the challenge since I already had the brush! Some days, I'm way too easy to get along with....

Full Moon Rising

This picture was painted on my basement wall on the bare concrete. It has long since been covered up when the basement was developed. When the day comes that I move and a new owner decides to renovate the basement, they will be in for a pleasant surprise!
