Old McDonald's Farm Theme Park

In the 1970's my brother Peter decided he wanted to build a theme park outside of Kelowna, BC. As in all of his projects, he did things in a big way. These pictures were taken of the park on a family vacation to BC just before the park opened to the public.

Brother Pete also did all of the theme work at Calloway Park just west of Calgary, AB along the Trans Canada Highway on the way to Banff  National Park.

Sign of the times

I painted this sign for a friend of mine when he and his wife moved into a new home a few years ago. Since his last name is French meaning Courier of the Woods and because his family has been in Canada since 1674, the graphic I chose  seemed rather appropriate.

"How the West Was Painted"

The retirement and 65 "B" Marlene are some of my brother August's carvings.
This painting on an animal skull is also some of August's work.

The rustic frames add a unique touch to the western theme throughout.....
